It’s hard to believe the Maryland Sheep & Wool Festival is behind us now. We had a lot of folks stop by the Jacob Sheep Conservancy booth. However, it was not all work and I had some time to walk around the festival and visit some of my sheep and fiber buddies.
One of our members, Cindy Telisak from Jacob’s Reward Farm held spinning classes both days. Her goal is to teach 100 people to spin and I think she is very close to her goal. And once again, Kelly Prylzepa from Firefly Farm and Catherine, Amanda and Laurel Snook from Snook Farm did an awesome job managing the booth. And a big thank you to Roy Deppa from Poplar Spring Farm who was there to help with the set up and take down.
Better get working on the NY State Sheep & Wool Festival held at Rhinebeck, NY in October. It will be here before we know it! Check out it out and stop by to say hello.
Thanks to all who support the small farmer and to my friends who made the weekend a big success.
